We have a great team of over 30 people working at Wavelength – including online developers, learning partners, graphic designers, editors, project managers – and of course our senior leadership team.

James Hodgson
 

 

Vice President

James runs our team. He is an experienced senior manager with over 15 years’ multi-media publishing experience. Passionately customer focused, James is committed to understanding the client, stakeholder, and audience needs and priorities to establish effective training and learning solutions.   James has managed the development of countless large-scale education programmes and directs an expert team that includes some of New Zealand’s best learning consultants, instructional and interactive designers, e-learning developers, writers, editors, and graphic designers.

 

Bill Gaynor

 

Senior Learning Partner

Bill began his career as a teacher, in New Zealand and the United Kingdom. He moved to work in the New Zealand education system as curriculum materials developer for the Ministry of Education, as director of the national literacy programme, Ready to Read. He then spent 10 years developing literacy programmes and curricula for publishers in the United States, Canada, Australia, the United Kingdom, and Asia. Bill brings more than 25 years of education publishing experience with ministries, corporates, not-for-profits, and large offshore companies. Bill now leads a team of Learning Partners, each with specific skills to deliver learning resources to a range of audiences, from ECE to adult learning.

 

Ben Peterson

 

Design Manager

Ben Peterson combines a passion for design with over 10 years’ experience working in Learning and Development. With a focus on learning and performance outcomes, he is passionate about designing experiences that empower people to build the skills and knowledge they need to excel. After working overseas in the ESOL field, Ben moved into the financial services sector working at IAG in a variety of L&D roles, as a facilitator, consultant and learning design manager.   As an internal coach in Human Centered Design, he also helped project teams and senior leaders put the end user at the centre of the design process to create real value. Ben is also a strong proponent of agile project management, taking structured yet iterative approach to ensure user feedback is acted on, and effectiveness is maximised while minimising risks.
